Harvest Monday 6.25.12

Monday. Dreary Wet. Rainy. Monday.

Here is the main harvest for this week. Pathetic - but it's a harvest!
A small eggplant, a large jalapeno, a bunch of broccoli side shoots and a single deformed cucumber. At least I had something to harvest. Considering how bleak my garden looks right now... I'll take it!

Update on Debby later. We are VERY wet.

Linking into Daphne's Dandelions on this very wet Monday. Make sure yous top by and check out what others are harvesting all over the world! (I bet they aren't so wet!)

'Till next time!

  1. A harvest is a harvest no matter how small. Your cucumber is not deformed, it just wanted to be different.

  5. I am sorry to hear that you are in the path of Debby. Hang in there. We are getting lots of wind from her. It's creepy and working havoc on my vining plants. I hope you come out unscathed.

  6. I hope everything works out with "Debby". My garden could use some water but I don't think I want to get it that way. Good Luck!!

  7. I can't believe you actually have a cucumber at this point. Ours killed over several weeks ago. By the end of June, we are pretty much done. But, hey, it's time to start tomato seedlings for the Fall already!

Do you have a source of strawberry seedlings? To think that I live in Plant City and can't find a good one... The one place that sells them around here doesn't make them available to the public till all the fields are planted, sometime in October. By that point, they are near death. So, I'm hoping to find a place that will ship them to us by mid-September this year.

  8. I hope the garden holds together well through Debby and that cucumber would make some good eating - shape does not matter it is taste!

  9. My harvesting has been like that for weeks, very skint. I'm not so good a planning ahead to avoid the hungry gap, and here we are hungry. That cucumber looks like it's a good size at least.
